CT University develops contactless automatic sanitizer dispenser

Ludhiana: CT University, Ludhiana under the flagship of Research and Innovation Centre for Excellence (RICE) developed an in-house ‘Contactless Automatic Sanitizer Dispenser’. As the Government has issued the guidelines of making the contact with things to the minimum, this dispenser can be used by many but without any touch.

Jaspreet Singh, Research and Development Engineer said, “This automatic dispenser senses the hand using an IR based sensor and then the powerful DC motor pump actuates and the nozzle ejects the fine mist of sanitizer over the hands. It spray’s sanitizer uniformly over the hand and consume 5 times less sanitizer than manual one. The overall cost of the machine is less than 2500 rupees.”

CTU’s another successful concept by team RICE can bring a change for the society. This can be installed in various schools, universities, shopping malls, etc. where crowd is more, said Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director CTU appreciated this innovative idea and wished the team luck and shared that team will produce more projects to safeguard the nation with a ‘new normal’.

रेगुलर मरीज़ो को हाथ लगाना तो दूर उनकी परछाई लेने से भी कांपते है - शर्मा

पर्ची पर दवाई लिख कर अपनी मोटी फीस वसूल रहे है 
मरीज़ो की माया से इनको कोई डर नहीं लगता
लुधियाना - पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री सरदार अमरेंद्र सिंह ने कुछ दिन पहले राज्य के सभी प्राइवेट हॉस्पिटल व नर्सिंग होम पर जनता को मेडिकल सर्विस देने वाले  अधिकतर डाक्टर कोरोना के  भय से गली मोहल्ले और आस पड़ोस में रहने वाले रेगुलर मरीज़ो को हाथ लगाना तो दूर उनकी परछाई लेने से भी कांपते है।  

बेलन ब्रिगेड की राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अनीता शर्मा ने  बताया कि कोरोना महामारी के इस वक्त  इन्शान को मेडिकल सुविधा की जरूरत है और जिन लोगो को मौसम बदलने पर आम खांसी बुखार होता है तो ये लोग अपने फैमली डाक्टर से दवाई लेते थे इन दिनों  डाक्टर वाल्कोनी में बैठकर दूर से ही मरीज़ो से बात करते है मरीज़ो को केवल कम्पाउण्डर हेल्पर ही चेक करते है और डाक्टर साहेब दूर से ही पर्ची पर दवाई लिख कर अपनी मोटी फीस वसूल रहे है।  मजे की बात है यह है कि कोरोना से डरने वाले डाक्टर मरीज़ो के नोटों को धड़ाधड़ अपनी जेबो में डाल रहे है  तब मरीज़ो की माया से इनको कोई डर नहीं लगता। 
अनीता शर्मा  ने आगे बताया कि सरकारी डाक्टर दिन रात कोरोना पॉजिटिव मरीज़ो में रहकर उनको बचाने की कोशिश कर रहे है दूसरी तरफ जनता से करोड़ो रुपये इक्क्ठा करके बड़े बड़े हॉस्पिटल और नर्सिंग होम बनाकर ऐश करने वाले डाक्टर देश में कोरोना  महामारी में अपनी जान बचाने के चक्कर  में छुप कर बैठ गए है।  सरकार सभी जिलों के सिविल सर्जन को निर्देश दे कि जो डाक्टर गली मुहल्लों में अपने मरीज़ो को चेक नहीं कर रहे उनका लाइसेंस रद्द किया जाए और यदि डाक्टरों के पास प्रोटेक्टिव किट नहीं है उन्हें तुरंत मोहल्ले के लोग जो गरीबो को राशन बाँट रहे है पहले डाक्टरों को किट व बढ़िया मास्क खरीदकर दें ताकि कोरोना बिमारी से डरने वाले डाक्टर पहले की तरह ही मोहल्ले के मरीज़ो के पास बैठकर उन्हें अच्छी तरह चेक कर सके।

CT University screens visitors keeping in view spread of COVID-19


Ludhiana: Following the cleanliness campaign in view of widespread of Corona Virus, CT University is trying it’s level best in order to provide safety measures for all. Now, the mandatory screening of visitors visiting the campus has begun, before allowing them to enter. Apart from installing an infrared thermometer to check the body temperature, university has also kept sanitizers at the entry gates, besides providing masks and gloves to security personnel.
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor CTU, said “The well-being and safety of the students staying back in hostels and visitors is our priority. In view of the increasing concerns about COVID-19, we are working closely with local authorities and following all guiding principles and protocols as recommended by ministry of health and local authorities and the Government of India. In case, any visitor is detected by fever or any other symptom, then he/she will be taken to nearby hospital from our end for the check-up.”

CT University students develop accident sensing module


Ludhiana: CT University’s ‘Research and Innovation Centre for Excellence’ students namely Batina Jennifer (Robotics), Kiran Reddy (AI) and Gurpreet Kaur (ME) after getting inspired from brain child of Ati Priye, CRC Manager designed and developed an accident sensing module for four wheel vehicle.
This accident sensing module can be mounted on the dashboard of vehicle and will be connected to the smart phone of driver via Bluetooth through an android app. If any impactful collision occurs, the sensor will generate a signal and an emergency message along with location will be sent to the registered emergency contacts, nearby hospitals, police stations, toll plazas and nearby vehicles having the same android application. Thus this module can save lives by providing quick first aid or medical assistance to accident victims.
Explaining further, Jaspreet Singh, Research and Development Engineer, said, “It is equipped with an unique AVR processor based sensing system which senses the fatal accident impact only and do not sense road jerks and sudden braking or acceleration impact. This sensing technology can sense collision from any direction of vehicle. The team has also filled technology patent to secure this invention. The overall project is named URAA which stands for You Are at Aid. Team is planning the start-up the production of this device at large scale. The first prototype is already developed and tested. This prototype is equipped with an onboard GPS and SIM device which itself sends the message and location.”
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor CTU appreciated the efforts of the team and also said that the team is also working upon development of the same device to a compact one of the size of a computer mouse with onboard rechargeable battery. The cost of final commercializable product will be below Rs 2000 along with free android application. So every person can afford it and it can help save countless lives. He further congratulated the team.

आर्य कॉलेज गर्ल्ज़ सेक्शन की हरविंदर ने “पंजाब स्टेट ट्रैक साइक्लिंग चैम्पीयन्शिप”में जीता स्वर्ण पदक

आर्य कॉलेज गर्ल्ज़ सेक्शन की हरविंदर ने 7 और 8 मार्च,2020को पंजाबी यूनिवर्सिटी, पटियाला में आयोजित पंजाब स्टेट ट्रैक साइक्लिंग प्रतियोगिता में अपनी कामयाबी का परचम फहराया है और लुधियाना जिल़े का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। इंडिविजूअल कैटेगॉरी में सपरिंट इवेंट और 500 मीटर टीम ट्रायल में दो स्वर्ण पदक प्राप्त किए और टीम सपरिंट में भी गोल्ड मेडल प्राप्त किया।कॉलेज की होनहार छात्रा हरविंदर को “नैशनल चैम्पीयन्शिप ऑफ़ ट्रैक साइक्लिंग” हेतु चुना भी गया।कॉलेज सचिव श्रीमती सतीशा शर्मा जी ने छात्राओं की खेलों के प्रति सच्ची लगन और कठिन परिश्रम की प्रशंसा की।प्रिं. डॉ सविता उप्पल, गर्ल्ज़ सेक्शन इंचार्ज श्रीमती सूक्ष्म आहलूवालिया जी और मिस गुरप्रीत कौर ( फ़िज़िकल एजुकेशन विभाग) ने विजयी छात्राओं को बधाई दी तथा भविष्य में इसी प्रकार सफलता प्राप्त करने की शुभकामनाएँ दीं।

CT Varsity kicks off cleanliness campaign in view of COVID-19


Ludhiana: Following the guidelines of Punjab Government, CT University, recently announced an off from all the academics tasks for students and cancelled its major events considering the safety of students from spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19). For this, CTU’s Housekeeping department personnel took each corner to clean the areas with maximum footfall and usage like buses, computer labs and classrooms, etc.
The housekeeping personnel were given proper instructions to sanitise the surroundings daily and avoid leaving unclean areas behind. Even, they were given proper equipments to clean.
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor CTU, said, “It is a common cliché that prevention is better than cure. COVID-19 is making people worried and anxious but if we follow preventive measures rather than a panic state, we can together bring curb to the situation being created all around. Starting from your own homes, sanitise all and stay clean. This activity will be repeated on daily basis.”
