Ludhiana, December 19, 2019: To establish BOSCH Bridge Program for Skill Development, CT University (CTU) is all geared up to develop a ‘Bridge Centre’ at the campus.
BRIDGE (Bosch’s Response to India’s Development and Growth through Employability Enhancement) is a pioneering Bosch CSR program that helps fulfilling the growing need for skilled manpower across sectors in India. Ensuring the employability of unprivileged school dropout youth is an important thrust area for Bosch Limited.
CTU and Bosch has certain areas of collaboration which will include organizing Bosch Training of Trainers (ToT) Programs in the University, capacity building workshops for the NGOs, offering Industry-oriented CSR module to the students, offering internships to Master degree students – locally at BRIDGE centres and at Bosch locations, offering social entrepreneurship course to Master students. Not only this, it will also include organizing research paper competitions – Post doctoral, Doctoral and Master students, possibility of offering joint course for the trainers – Distance learning or blended learning mode, Joint Content Development for new courses including e-Learning, Offering trainings for MSME and Offering Social Fellowships.
The program prepares students to find the first job in their life and includes industry demand-driven modules that are Soft skills, Industry-specific and Job skills, Social Skills and On-the-Job Training.
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor CTU said, “There are numerous ways to put the youth into action and ensure that they are engaged in gainful employment after acquiring proper skills. But, we are yet to connect education with employment seamlessly. These skill development programs are one of the best ways for this connection.”
