Quarterly Meeting of Obstetrics and Gynecological Society of Northern India was held today in Dumra Auditorium of DMCH. Eminent Obstetricians and Gynecologists from different parts of the region participated in the meeting cum CME on “Improving Women Health “.
The function was formally inaugurated by Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta along with faculty members of Obstetrics and Gynecology department. It was the first conference of its type to have a live online telecast, making its content available to the vast variety of its viewers.
Organizing Chairman- Dr Ashima Taneja (HOD Obst. And Gynae ) extended warm welcome to all the guest speakers and participating delegates. In her address, Dr Ashima said that the main purpose of organizing this ‘Quarterly meeting cum-CME’ is to focused on various health problems and challenges faced in day to day practice in an endeavour to improve women’s health.
Renowned speakers from North India including Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and Himachal Pradesh attracting over 250 delegates graced the occasion. They spoke on topics like infertility, gynaecological malignancies, controversies in management of fibroids, antenatal management of birth defects and PCOS. It included prompt oral and poster presentation, interactive quiz and video sessions for the post-graduate students. There was active participation and enthusiasm of all delegates and participants.
Various topics including ‘Adolescent PCOS, Antenatal Management of Birth Defects, Revised Staging and Management of Endometrial Cancer and Fertility Preservation were discussed during this CME. various issues regarding the women health were also discussed during this conference.
It was conducted by the appreciable efforts of The Chief Organizer, Dr Ashima Taneja, Organizing co Chairperson Dr Suman Puri, Organizing Secretaries Dr Sunil Kumar Juneja, Dr. Shweta Gupta, Joint Organizing Secretaries Dr Pooja Tandon, Dr Kanupriya Jain and Dr Monica Narang.
