Three-day 27th Annual Conference of Association of Medical Biochemists of India (‘AMBICON’) got of to a colorful start, with an impressive inaugural ceremony. The chief guest, on the occasion, was eminent physician- Dr Sandeep Dhillon from UK. He said that advances in the field of Biochemistry are immense and such conference provide a platform to enhance both professional and academic skills. Also present on the occasion were Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Vice Principal Dr GS Wander, Medical Supdt Dr Sandeep Sharma and office bearers of Association of Medical Biochemists of India.
Secretary Sh Prem Kumar Gupta lauded the efforts of Department of Biochemistry in organizing this three-day conference of repute. Principal Dr Sandeep Puri extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and delegates present on the occasion. In his address, Dr Puri said that DMCH under the guidance of Managing Society has improved a lot in the sphere of diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. Vice-Principal Dr GS Wander stressed that medicos should always keep themselves updated with the latest advancement in the field of medical sciences for optimum and quality patients care.
The first day of the conference witnessed lot of scientific guest lecture sessions by distinguished guest speakers from India and abroad as well. The conference brought together leading scientists and doctors in the field of Biochemistry and other specialties. Topics covered during the conference include latest advancements in the field of chemogenetic and optogenetic technologies. Organizing Secretary-Dr Navjot Bajwa (Professor & Head of Biochemistry) proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and delegates present on the occasion. In her address, Dr Navjot Bajwa said that the aim of the conference is to learn more about the latest advances in the field of clinical biology and encourage an open and interactive interaction amongst the guest speakers and delegates.
