To commemorate UNICEF Foundation Day a week long listening and connecting sessions were held with the young adolescent minds of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar. The aim of the session was to give an ear to the thoughts, ideas and views in the minds of these young reformers on the recent issues of great concerns in our society including rapes, child abuse, inhuman or cruel treatment towards weaker and fairer sex, domestic violence etc. During this program of cross fertilization of Ideas students opened their heart and spoke about various incidents deep rooted somewhere in their minds where they witnessed such evils of society. Girls expressed their feelings towards these inhuman treatments and came up with number of measures they can adopt to save themselves from different atrocities. Addressing the students as responsible citizens of the country and the changemakers, Principal Bandana Sethi said it's high time and need of the hour to discuss these issues with the students who are very well aware of and many a times a victim of evils prevailing in the society. She sensitized the students that it's not just a female issue, it's a human issue, which can be resolved collectively. Students unanimously committed to create awareness, build new norms of equality for them and connect many others in their campaign to make an inclusive and safer society.
