Department of Bichemistry, DMCH is organizing 27th Annual Conference of Association of Medical Biochemists of India ‘AMBICON’ from 12th Dec to 15th December in DMC College Campus.
According to Organizing Secretary- Dr Navjot Bajwa (Professor & Head of Biochemistry), the conference is first of its kind in bringing all medical experts and professionals from different parts of the country and abroad to investigate and inspire the future generation in the field of clinical biochemistry.
About 500 delegates from India and abroad are expected to visit the three-day conference. Further informing, Dr Bajwa said that the scientific sessions, during the conference will cover topics pertaining to Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Anaemia, Endocrinology, Immunology, Toxicology and Nutrition.
A PG Quiz will be held on the first day of the conference, where 12 teams from different medical colleges of the country will participate. The conference will include three workshops on the subjects ‘Genotyping’ ‘Karyotyping’ and Plasma Cell Dyscrasia
Renowned Nutritional Scientists-Dr Carlos from Newzealand and Dr Jean Paul from France will be delivering lectures on ‘Nutritional disorders’
Dr Harinder Singh, Director, Immunology Division from Pittsburgh Uiversity, USA and Dr Sandeep Dhillon from UK will be delivering talks about their research work in their respective fields.
The conference will be formally inaugurated tomorrow in Auditorium of DMC College Campus by the chief guest-Dr S S Marwah, Chairman ,Punjab Pollution Control Board and Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa. Guest of Honour will be Secretary of DMCH Managing Society-Sh Prem Kumar Gupta
